Dan Coen Takes the Helm as CEO of E&E Group

The Environmental and Engineering Group, known as E&E Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Dan Coen as its new Chief Executive Officer. With a rich history of leadership roles in renowned companies such as PepsiCo, Tarmac, VP Plc, and SOCOTEC, Dan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to drive E&E Group forward in its mission while maintaining the core values and ethos of the companies within the group.

E&E Group was formed in late 2023, when Marlin and Yellowstone Environmental Solutions, two industry-leading companies, merged after 12 years of successful partnership working. Marlin Environmental, an engineering, environmental cleaning, confined space, and safety training specialist who operates in the defence and commercial sectors, joined forces with Yellowstone, a licensed waste treatment facility and transfer station, which provides turnkey solutions for the safe disposal and recycling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams marked a significant milestone for both companies.

Combining complementary strengths and resources to offer comprehensive solutions, this union not only expanded the scope of services but also positioned the newly formed E&E Group as a formidable player in the engineering, environmental services, and waste management industry.

Yellowstone Environmental Solutions began in 2011 when the company took over the waste disposal facility in Shaftesbury from Oil & Water Ltd. Yellowstone has expanded rapidly over the years, investing significantly in creating a state-of-the-art waste treatment facility that specializes in handling and treating oily sludges, HFO (Heavy Fuel Oils), and other problematic waste streams. Yellowstone holds an extensive waste permit, providing safe and responsible recycling and management of packaged, specialist, hazardous, and bulk-load waste. With a fleet of ADR tankers, curtain-sided lorries, and industrial cleaning crews, Yellowstone services blue-chip companies nationally and internationally.

Over the last 20 years, Marlin has become an industry leader in specialist engineering, environmental cleaning, safety training, and confined space services for defence and commercial sectors. Marlin works offshore, shore-based, and at customer facilities, with highly skilled teams operating at locations throughout the UK and beyond. With engineering centres across the coast, a wealth of specialist equipment, and a fleet of vehicles; Marlin Environmental supports key customers, including BAE Systems, Babcock International, Wightlink Ferries, delivering contracts to maintain Royal Navy warships, commercial ferries, cruise ships, event sites, and retail stores nationwide.
