Marlin Welcomes New Operations Manager

Marlin Welcomes New Operations Manager

We are pleased to welcome Paul Morrell as our new Operations Manager in Portsmouth Dockyard, as Tim Bell moves into the new role of Operations Director.

Paul has recently joined us in July and brings over 30years’ engineering management experience, with a demonstrated history of getting results in the military industry as well as being in the facilities management sector.

Paul’s skill set within operational planning, leadership and engineering management, means he’s the perfect fit for the job, taking on the operational side of our Portsmouth site. Helping to continue establishing Marlin as a leader in specialist environmental cleaning, waste management and engineering services for the maritime sector, including transport, commercial, defence and leisure.

Paul is pleased to be working with Marlin as he says “Having been based in military dockyards both here in the UK and overseas, I am looking forward to utilising my engineering management and operational planning experience to good effect. Joining the Royal Navy as an Artificer Apprentice in January 1987, I’ve developed a network of friends and colleagues to which many still operate in the military maritime environment, so joining Marlin really takes me back to my navy roots. I am pleased to be joining Marlin Environmental Services as they underpin the operational capability of our Royal Navy vessels, so a natural progression in terms of delivering a first-class service.

When not busy with work you will often find me out and about on my motorcycle as well as spending time relaxing with friends and family. If I am not doing any of that I also enjoy scuba diving. I hold an advanced open water PADI qualification, but you’ll only find me diving in the warmer climates!”
